4-alarm fire 4 doors down

when i was walking home out from the BART station after work i saw huge black billows of smoke in the sky blowing from the direction of my home as well as news copters flying above. i came up on that corner of my intersection scared stiff and kept thinking over and over please god, don’t let it be my building…


the fire was so big that it spread to 3 buildings (4 alarm = approx 130 firefighters). i never really thought of myself as a particularly lucky person, but god damn.

cray cray… guess that means we neighbors… i live directly behind (right across the alley)the apartment the fire seems to have started in…

ps. get renters insurance… i’m looking at it online as i type.
i had the same ‘please let it not be my building’ dealy flash through my head… super worried bout my cats, records, computer. and rest of life… in that order.

wow marco, you are even closer than i am. yeah, i need to get on that renters insurance. also need to get properly functioning smoke alarms. scares me that most of these buildings in the mission are wood frame which they say is why the fire grew so rapidly
